Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know to play on PlayMC by RMDCGames. Another question? Write to contact@rmdc.cloud.

What is the server address?

play.rmdc.cloud, on the default port (25565). Add it under “Multiplayer” in Minecraft Java Edition.

Which Minecraft versions are supported?

Minecraft Java Edition 1.13 and every newer version. Older clients (1.8 to 1.12) are refused, and Bedrock (consoles, mobile, Windows) is not supported.

Do I need a premium Minecraft account?

No: non-premium accounts are welcome. Everyone sets a password with /register on their first visit, then signs in with /login.

Is it free?

Yes. The lobby, the minigames and one server per account are free. Cubes, earned by playing or bought, only pay for comfort: ranks, cosmetics and server options.

How do I link my Minecraft name to my account?

Sign in on play.rmdc.cloud with your RMDCGames Account, open “My account” and generate a code. In game, type /link followed by the code (valid 10 minutes, single use). One name per account. Cubes earned before linking are paid to you at that moment.

What does the free server include?

One server per account: 2 GB of memory, 5 GB of disk, 10 players, with Paper, Purpur, Fabric (1.18.2 to 1.21.11) or Forge (1.18.2 to 1.21.4). It goes to sleep after 5 minutes without players, a session lasts 6 hours at most, and there are no automatic backups.

How do I join my free server?

Enter the play.rmdc.cloud lobby and type /go. If your server is asleep, it starts; you are sent there as soon as it is ready.

What happens to an unused server?

A server not started for 30 days is archived: its world is compressed and set aside. You can restore it in game, in the lobby, with /monserveur (450 Cubes, provisional price).

How do I earn Cubes?

By finishing the welcome tutorial (50 Cubes, once) and by winning minigames of at least 3 players. The daily bonus, quests and votes are coming soon. Free earnings are capped at 3,000 Cubes per month.

Do ranks give a gameplay advantage?

No. Premium and Elite give cosmetics in the lobby, a badge on the site and a discount on server options, never an advantage in minigames. Ranks can be bought on the site or in game; cosmetics and options are bought in game, in the lobby.

How much do Cubes cost?

Prices are provisional and shown in the shop. On the site you buy Cube packs (PayPal, Paysafecard or SMS through Dedipass, Bitcoin through BTCPay, depending on the methods open) and the Premium and Elite ranks. Cosmetics and server options are bought in game, with your Cubes.

How is this related to RMDCGames MC?

RMDCGames MC (mc.rmdc.cloud) is RMDCGames' Minecraft hosting offer, with always-on servers. PlayMC is the free lobby. Both use the same RMDCGames Account.

How do I report a player?

In game, type /report followed by the name and the reason. You can also write to contact@rmdc.cloud.
